We, the Fly Away to the USA team, have been fortunate enough to play field hockey in many different parts of the world, including the United States. We have realized how empowering and life changing the experience of playing abroad is. However, we have also realized that we are part of a select group that got this opportunity.

This isn’t because of a lack of desire or demand, it is a lack of the knowledge, awareness and communication. Currently, how players, coaches or clubs find one another is limited to word of mouth, emails, Facebook messaging, Whatsapp or Skype calls. Because of this, it is usually only the top 0,1% of players, coaches or clubs that get to experience what we have experienced.

Therefore, our goal is to help all the motivated young-athletes to acquire the unforgettable experience of playing field hockey while combining their studies in the United States in an easy and affordable way. In other words, our entire Fly Away Masterclass and Community is built by student-athletes for you, the future student-athletes.

Why Scorrd Fly Away to the USA?

We realized that the process to get recruited in the United States is confusing and overwhelming. As said, our goal is to facilitate this process to ensure that all the motivated young-athletes get the opportunity to play field hockey in the United States in an easy and affordable way.

We researched all the preliminary problems and current irritations in the process, and then created our Fly Away Masterclass that simplifies and clarifies the whole process. The masterclass comes with a personal video meeting and guidance from the start to the very end of the process. Furthermore, it will be continuously reviewed, updated and improved where necessary.

We believe in our community

Our Fly Away Community is hosted on Scorrd, a social network and transfer market place focussing on field hockey players, coaches, and clubs at any level worldwide. Like Scorrd, we are passionated about communities and therefore are convinced that there is no better place to grow our Fly Away Community.

The goal of our Fly Away Community is to connect all the international field hockey players that currently play, played, and will play in the United States. Thus, our community of current players, alumni players, and future players and their parents will allow for a continuity of relevant information and content exchange. As Scorrd states, “The goal is to create a community that connects people through content that they feel close to, in this case the field hockey content at a University level in the United States”.
